For the first time, Scorpio‘s disruptive technology will provide a compact, high performance Electronically Steered Antenna (ESA) that will unlock the true potential of powerful modern Satellites.

Scorpio Space was founded by notable veterans from the Satellite industry with proven success in developing groundbreaking technology with the  best quality and experience in the Satcom antenna business.

Tuvia Barak

Chairman of the Board

Tuvia Barak is an experienced leader in the Aerospace and Technology field and has been serving as a Venture Partner with Lux Capital since 2005. Earlier in his career, Tuvia joined Tadiran, Inc., the North American subsidiary of Tadiran, which is the largest electronics conglomerate in Israel and helped achieve over $3 billion in revenue under his direction. Currently, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Aveta.life, Skyline Software, Toonimo, WhiteCanyon Software, and Weatherbell Analytics, and special advisor to Astra Capital Management, and Heller Industries. Tuvia’s history of clients are well established and prominent, including The Carlyle Group, Boeing, L-3 Communications, General Dynamics, AAI/Textron, United Defense, MapInfo, and many more.

Micha Lawrence

Director

Micha Lawrence is an accomplished leader with 25 years of experience as a CEO of start-ups and early stage companies, as well as a senior executive in billion dollar public entities. A proven visionary, he developed the first commercially used airborne broadband Satcom system paving the way for many more systems and services. Micha is a Satellite Communications and Aviation veteran, with a history of flourishing and developing business for large corporations. Micha also led the successful growth of Startup Starling, from idea to IPO and sale to Panasonic. He then pioneered as an Executive level manager (CCO) business development of new markets and products for public corporations, AIA and Gogo, as well as served as full formation leader in the IAF (the Israeli Air Force).

Michael Barak

Director

Michael Barak is a world expert in the SATCOM market with 20+ years of experience as an executive in leading satellite communication ventures. Michael is working closely with Tier-1 SATCOM and In-Flight-Connectivity (IFC) service providers and integrators to shape the future of satellite connectivity in commercial and business aviation. For many years, he served in leading management positions at Gilat Satellite Networks. In his last position he headed the Mobility Division and was part of the Gilat management team.
