Scorpio Space – Privacy Policy

General
- This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains the practices of Scorpio space technologies Inc. (the “Company”, “we” or “us”) with respect to collection, storage, usage and processing of certain information from visitors who access and use the Company’s website at: space (respectively: the “Website” and “Visitors“).
- By accessing and using the Website, you give your consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy, and you agree to comply with any of its provisions and to be bound by it. If you do not agree with any of the terms of this Privacy Policy, we will ask you to refrain from accessing and using the Website.
What Information We May Collect On Our Visitors and How It Is Collected?
- We may collect two types of data and information from Visitors:
- Non-identifiable and anonymous information (“Non-Personal Information”). We are not aware of the identity of the Visitor from whom we collected the Non-Personal Information. Non-personal Information is collected automatically when a Visitor uses the Website, it consists of technical information and behavioral information, and may contain, among other things, type of operation system, computer configurations, type of browser, language preferences, browsing history, the activity of the Visitor on the Website, etc.
- Individually identifiable information (“Personal Information”). This information may identify an individual or may be of a private and/or sensitive nature.
Visitors of the Website automatically provide the Visitor’s IP address and unique device identifiers mainly for enhancing the Visitor’s experience and for geolocation and security purposes as further detailed below.
In addition, Personal Information which is being gathered consists of any personal details provided consciously and voluntarily by the Visitor when he/she wishes to contact us or subscribes for a newsletter via the Website which requires among others: name, e-mail address, job title, industry, phone number additional gathered information and comments.
- For avoidance of doubt, any Non-Personal Information connected or linked to any Personal Information shall be deemed as Personal Information as long as such connection or linkage exists.
- We do not collect any Personal Information from you or related to you without your approval, which is obtained, inter alia, through your active acceptance to the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
What are the Purposes of the Collection of Information?
- Non-personal Information is collected for statistical and research purposes, for development, customization and improvement of our Website’s interface and functionality, and in order to provide Visitors with a better user experience.
- Personal Information is collected for the purpose of sending newsletters, contacting Visitors in order to provide them with further information on the Company and its products and sending brochures and other marketing materials if requested.
- We may also use information in order to investigate violations and enforce our policies, and as required by law, regulation or other governmental authority, or to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process or respond to a government request.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
- The Company will not share any Personal Information it collects with any third party. Notwithstanding, the Company may disclose Personal Information in the following cases: (a) to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request; (b) to enforce this Privacy Policy and/or the Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (d) to defend against claims; (e) when the Company is undergoing any change in control, including by means of merger, acquisition or purchase or sale of all or substantially all of its assets; or (i) to collect, hold and/or manage your Personal Information through the Company’s authorized third party service providers, as reasonable for business purposes, which may be located in a country that does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction; (j) pursuant to Visitor’s explicit approval prior to the disclosure; or (k) cooperate with third parties for the purpose of enhancing the Visitor’s experience.
- For avoidance of doubt, the Company may transfer and disclose to third parties, or otherwise use, Non-personal Information at its own discretion.
Deletion of Personal Information
- If for any reason you wish to modify or delete your Personal Information or to restrict the use thereof, please send us an email to: info@scorpio.space, and we will make reasonable efforts to modify or delete any such Personal Information pursuant to any applicable privacy laws. Note that unless you instruct us otherwise we may retain your Personal Information for a period of ninety (90) days or a longer period as reasonably required and/or as legally required.
- If you request a change to or deleting of your personal information, please note that we may still need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes, and/or complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting such change or deletion. Some of your information may also remain within our systems and other records where necessary for compliance with applicable law.
Minors
- To use the Website, you must be over the age of sixteen (16). The Company does not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors under the age of sixteen (16) and does not wish to do so. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any stage so that we can verify that minors under the age of sixteen (16) are not using the Webs.
Retention of Information
- We retain the information that we collect from Visitors for as long as it remains necessary for the purposes set forth above and to comply with our legal obligations. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable time.
- We may at our sole discretion, delete or amend information from our systems, without providing any notice to you, once we deem it is no longer necessary for our purposes.
Security
- We take a great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the Website and the Visitor’s Personal Information. The Company employs industry standard procedures and policies to ensure the safety of the Visitor’ Personal Information, and prevent unauthorized use of any such information, including by using firewalls. The Personal Information may be hosted at the Company’s premises or at its third party services providers, under advanced security features and protection. However, we do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Cookies
- When you access or use the Website, the Company or any of its third party services providers (e.g. Google analytics or Hubspot) may use industry-wide technologies such as “cookies” (or similar technologies), which store certain information on your computer (“Local Storage“) and which will allow us or our third party services providers to enable automatic activation of certain features, and make your service experience much more convenient and effortless. It is easy to prohibit the Local Storage. Most browsers will allow you to erase cookies from your computer’s hard drive, block acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Marketing
- We may use your Personal Information such as name, email address, etc., ourselves or by using our third-party partners, for the purpose of informing you about our products and services which may interest you and commercial updates about the Company and news appearances, and to send to you other marketing materials. Changes to the Privacy Policy
- The terms of this Privacy Policy will govern the use of the Website and any information collected therein. The Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time, so please re-visit this page frequently. We will provide notice of substantial changes of this policy on the homepage of the Website and/or we will send you an e-mail regarding such changes to the e-mail address that you may have provided us with. Such substantial changes will take effect seven (7) days after such notice was provided on the Website or sent by email. Otherwise, all other changes to this Privacy Policy are effective as of the stated “Last Revised” date and your continued use of the Website after the Last Revised date will constitute acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, those changes.
